Marriage & Couples Counseling in Chesterfield, MI & Online

Restore the Connection that Brought You Together.

Every relationship has its seasons of struggle. Whether you’re navigating years of distance, a recent crisis, or simply want to strengthen your foundation, our specialists provide a safe, neutral space to rebuild trust and improve communication. You don't have to navigate this transition alone.

Finding Common Ground

We help couples navigate the complexities of modern partnership.

You don’t have to wait for a "breaking point" to seek support. Our licensed clinicians provide evidence-based tools for:

  • Communication Breakdown

Moving past "talking at" each other to actually being heard and understood.

  • Trust & Commitment

The delicate, honest work of healing and rebuilding a foundation after it has been broken.

  • Premarital Counseling

Setting a healthy, lifelong foundation before you say "I do."

  • Parenting & Life Transitions

Staying connected while navigating the stresses of family, career, and aging.

  • Intimacy & Connection

Rediscovering the warmth, friendship, and closeness that may have faded.

What to Expect

A Safe Space for Both of You

One of the biggest fears in couples therapy is that the counselor will "take sides." At Grace Counseling, we have a different philosophy: We don't take sides. We side with the relationship. We provide an objective, compassionate environment where both partners feel heard and respected. Our goal is to equip you with practical tools to handle conflict at home so that eventually, you won't need us anymore.

Why trust your relationship to Grace Counseling?

The Grace Approach for Couples

At Grace Counseling, we provide an objective, compassionate environment where both partners feel heard, respected, and understood. By combining 15 years of community experience with evidence-based tools, we help you stop the cycle of reactive arguments and start building a foundation of mutual grace and lasting connection.

Specialized Clinical Training

Relationship counseling requires a unique set of skills compared to typical therapy. Our clinicians are specifically trained to manage the unique "tug-of-war" that happens in a marriage. We don't just sit back and listen. We provide a structured environment with proven techniques and decades of combined experience to help you de-escalate tension, break old patterns, and find your way back to each other.

Outdoor "Walk-and-Talk" Sessions

Sometimes, sitting face-to-face in a small room can feel like an interrogation. Many of our couples find that walking together in our Chesterfield field or sitting on our private patio lowers the tension, making it easier to have the hard conversations with a sense of peace. Common Questions About Couples Counseling

Have questions? We’re here to help. Here are some of the most common questions we receive about couples & marriage counseling.

It’s common for one partner to be more "ready" than the other. We suggest starting with just one session to see how it feels.  There is no long-term commitment required.

No, we typically do not bill insurance for couples counseling. We have specifically designed our couples program to be a short-term, high-impact service that is both affordable and efficient.  By using a very targeted, short-term model (usually 2-4 sessions), our highly trained counselors get straight to the heart of the issue, often saving couples time and money compared to traditional long-term therapy models.

Every couple is different, but our approach is designed for fast results. These sessions are usually very targeted over a 2–4 week period, allowing couples to see significant progress very quickly.

Your relationship is worth the investment.

Our intake coordinator will help match you with one of our couples & marriage specialists who fits your unique needs and schedule.
